this is one of the best if not THE best compressor i ever tired. it can be clean but it can also turn mediocre heavy vocals into a powerhouse. but please, pretty please, one day a little oversampliing would be nice. i push this thing REALLY hard (high GR, lowest attack-release times, nothing sounds quite like it) and though i don't think i can hear much of aliasing outside of sinesweep tests - i would love to turn on some OS when rendering and forget about everything for good. all in all - this is the compressor i'd choose if i had to pick one for the rest of my life, dead serious.
very nice compressor!
PSP make among the best audio plugins, period.
I would have rolled back HALF of the effect (parallel) ... too much dynamics crushing on the final product/output. Love the plugin - I'm sure it's great, but 'let dynamics live' again, please :-) .
@pspaudioware please share the name of the song/artist, especially if it has been released.
Very nice demo of a very nice emulation of a very nice hardware unit! 😁
Fantastyczny wokal i piosenka!!! Zaczynam marzyć o tym pluginie! 😍🎤🎶 Pozdrowienia dla ekipy PSP! ☀️🎶
Nie ma co marzyć warto kupić.
@@PSPaudioware hehe marzyć zawsze trzeba ;) Zakup się odbędzie!! :))
That song is beautiful!
Great and clean plugin
Glad you like it!
Wow, I'm impressed by the mic setup for the acoustic guitar segment -- anyone remember what mics were used? Almost sounds like AEA R84's to me... great placement regardless: very tasty! I'll have to audition this compressor: I own a number of PSP products and continue to enjoy great results! Thanks for the vid!
Sounds pretty awful to my ears
Could you explain?
Flow or Flare? Either way, YIKES....
good beats and sweet delays!
Are all three reverbs on aux tracks , in other words are you sending original to three aux tracks?
This is scary-good!!!
Very interesting technique, especially for sampled kits - and thank you for sharing.
Very good demonstration
🤔is it possible to track vocals with this compressor? Love this by the way.
Interesting behavior! It would be cool to hear this comp applied to individual stems, as well! There's a lot going on under the hood on this one for sure, and thankfully it allows for external side chain, which increases the versatility of any dynamics processor tremendously -- the broadcasting uses come immediately to mind, of course: the built-in transient processing would make it ideal for aiding the intelligibility of dialogue for podcasts and so on, as well as transparently ducking background music/foley. I wonder how it would perform applied as a de-esser...? Fun video, thanks!

Looks super useful
What is so unique about this plugin?
Is it flow or flare now??
PSP Flare is the current name.
Super useful
I never thought I would think of you as untrustworthy with your reviews, but now I am starting to. Why did you distort the example of the normal compressor? Why don't you reveal exactly how the normal compressor is tweaked and, more importantly, the compressor itself? And why did you put the music background, which masks the subtleties while letting us hear the comparison?
Great Stuff
Brilliant demonstration as always. I could both see and hear it working wonders in the relatively extreme examples you used. I'll be giving this one a trial before the intro sale period ends.
I really like the flexibility of the detector modes. But I feel the limit section is very squishy. I do like it when just kissing the limiter.
is it me or the normal compressor used in the example sounds systematically saturated? And if I may, as a post production engineer, the quality of the take and the voice itself over shitty music does not provide a "in situation" type of mix. And only few actors will move away from the mic as a singer when being louder. All of the above make the demo irrelevant to me.
I think the idea is to use extreme examples to show what it does; rather than routine cases where it would actually be used, but where the benefit of it may not come through well given UA-cam's own audio algorithms. I found the demo very helpful in that way. The plugin can be trialled for a month so you can check it out on your own material; which is what I'll be doing. As you work in this area, I'd love to hear any recommendations you have. I'm guessing, though, that it would be less about the particular compressor used and more about how you use it..
Great!!! :)
sooooooo, bought it lol
I really like this spring, the temps have been mild and just enough moisture to make the tulips bloom! Seriously, PSP has some of the greatest plugs and when I want spring anytime this is my goto👍🏼
Thank you for the video Marlon. I'm testing PSP Flow at the moment and I'm super impressed. It handles parts of the audio where the speaker overloaded the microphone very nicely and the character in the speaker's voice is retained better than when using my main compressor (previous favorite).
"normal compressor"..... 😂😂😂
haha, yeah its clear they chose the most garbage overdriven compressor they could for the 'normal' but still, completely ignoring it, the PSP versions perception levelling was very decent.
You guys are my FAVORITE ! Keep up the great work !
Thanks for the demo! I have the plugin but have not played with it yet. Now I know what to expect :)
If this is stereo delay how do I get left to out put 1/8 dotted and right channel to output 1/4 triplet?
If this is stereo delay how do I get left to out put 1/8 dotted and right channel to output 1/4 triplet?
Why not a complete Echorec instead or additionally? The Echorec plugins, which I know, hardly impressed me much up to now.
you talk too much !
Another great video, Cameron!! And I'm reminded lately (also with this presentation)... that PSP plugins aren't something to sleep on!! They have their character and are very effective. 🙂🧡
Dont talk between comparisons
Solid review/overview. Might sound odd, but I appreciate the balance of the voice-over and the track, so I'm not getting my eardrums blasted all to hell whenever the audio returns to the voice-over. I'm not sure why so many producers, producers who consistently put out videos, can't seem to get their shit properly balanced in plugin A/B demos.
a pro tool. 👍The only thing I miss is a favourite option.
와 PSP 공식 채널에서 샘플로 Kpop을 쓸 줄은 몰랐네요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Sounds good except the reverb......it make sound all muddy and squishy.....
Could you send us your samples?
@@PSPaudiowareHm.......well, i own the psp85 and the sound demo here prove that the reverb make the signal sound muddy. So there is no need to do this.💁♀
the title did say "feel" not "hear".. gotcha
